Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year! 

I am honored and excited to serve as the Principal of McCormick Elementary School. My heart has been dedicated to serving this district for over 27 years. My love and compassion for this community and our students will be evident in everything we do at MES.

 

I have three main goals for our school year as we continue "Growing World Class Chiefs":

1. We will create a safe learning environment for all adults and students. 
2. We will increase student achievement by:
a. Developing growth mindsets with high expectations.
b. Creating individualized learning pathways for students.
c. Developing student ownership and pride.
d. Planning creative and innovative instructional practices that foster critical thinking skills. 
3. We will increase positive communications to all stakeholders so we can show off the true goldmine we have on Chieftain Hill!

 

Every decision made at our school will be student-centered. I strongly believe in the team approach and need your help to prepare our students for the future. Be a positive light and promoter for your students and our school, and I promise to do the same. I look forward to the collaboration and support we will give to each other. Our theme says it all, "Together everyone achieves more." I believe in our faculty, staff, and students. I know that if we all work together and keep rowing in the same direction, we will grow “World Class Chiefs!” I look forward to us working together and guiding our students through the love and support they deserve.
