Salisa L. Mincey-McTeer, Assistant Principal
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write this letter of introduction. I am a veteran educator with 34 years (and counting) of experience spanning 3K through 6th grades. I have been a regular education classroom teacher, a gifted and talented teacher, an interventionist, a Director of Preschool, and an Instructional Leader/Coach.
I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to be a member of the McCormick County Schools of Inquiry and Innovation community. I am ecstatic to be the new assistant principal at McCormick Elementary School (MES). I am looking forward to and am committed to working in partnership with Ms. White, the faculty and staff, parents, and the community to nurture the academic, social, and emotional development of each of our students.
The students of MES are the future and all of us will need to be actively involved in their education. I believe that if we stick together, we can love them and lead them to success!
On a personal note, my husband (Rodney) and I are the proud parents of two sons (Sean and Quentyn) and two daughters (Autier and Teleah). We also have five beautiful granddaughters (Jordin, Amarah, Morgan, Camryn, and Claire). They are our pride and joy!
In closing, I am passionate, energetic, and love being an educator! As we continue to encourage MES families to be partners in the educational process, my door will always be open. I will always focus on what is best for our school.
